Match Point Blu-Ray Import - Italy

Italy has released the Blu-Ray/Region B version of "Match Point," but please note that it will not play on a regular DVD player or a standard US Blu-Ray player. In order to view this film in the USA/Canada, you will need a multi-region Blu-Ray player.

The synopsis of the film follows the story of Chris Wilton, an Irish former professional tennis player from a lower class background who becomes a tennis instructor at an upper-class club in London. As he becomes close with his student Tom Hewett, Chris is introduced to Tom's wealthy British family. Tom's sister Chloe quickly falls in love with Chris, leading to a relationship and eventual marriage. However, Chris also feels a strong attraction towards Tom's fiancée, the American aspiring actress Nola Rice, and they engage in a brief affair.

As Chris rises to a high position within the Hewett family's company, he struggles with his feelings for both Chloe and Nola. When Nola becomes pregnant and demands more from their relationship, Chris must make a decision about his future and choose between the two women.

"Match Point" was screened and awarded at various prestigious ceremonies, including the Ceasar Awards, Cinema Writers Circle Awards in Spain, David Donatello Awards, Edgar Allan Poe Awards, Golden Globes, Goya Awards, and the Oscar Academy Awards. This film is part of the Woody Allen Summer Project.
